Ranch Administrator – LTC. Gary Lynde (Ret), M.A.

Gary G. Lynde, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired) has had numerous command and staff assignments in both Infantry and Aviation branches.   Since retiring from the U. S. Army, he has worked as the acting Dean of Continuing Education at Central Washington University and as the business manager for an electronics company.  Gary has a Master's degree in psychology.  After climbing the military/corporate ladder for many years, Gary felt it was time to “give back” and was delighted to find an opportunity at PATCH.  His previous experiences in the army give Gary the bold confidence that causes kids to pay "attention" when Gary walks in the room.  His huge heart for God and for hurting and troubled teens, makes him completely approachable.  He is very much loved and respected by everyone at the Youth Ranch.  Gary and his wife Carol have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Treatment Coordinator – Colleen Donald M.A.

Colleen has been working at the PATCH Youth Ranch since 1999 and feels that God has her in the perfect place right now. She grew up in Iowa and spent just enough time in South Dakota to meet her husband, who has added the dimension of motherhood to her life.  Colleen's background and Master's degree is in school counseling where she worked for several years in both public and Tribal schools.  She wanted to be more involved in helping students at risk, students who needed someone to reach out and give them more time, guidance, and love. As Treatment Coordinator, her hope is to give fresh hope to teens whose hope has been taken from them.  It appears she is doing just that!

Boys’ Dorm Director – Mike Van Dyk

Mike considers it a privilege to work for God at the Project PATCH Ranch. He spends many hours laughing and, at times, crying with young people and staff as they work together through complex issues. Today he sees his role of Director of the Boys' Dorm as one of helping build lives for Christ.  As a grandfather of 5, Mike sees no retirement ahead, saying   “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” as he charges ahead to face the next challenge at the PATCH Youth Ranch.  Mike enjoys being a husband to his wife, Marge, and a father to his three adult children.  But the joy of his life is spending time with his grandchildren!

Girls’ Dorm Director – Marge Van Dyk

Marge joined the PATCH Youth Ranch Leadership Team in 1995 as Director of the Girls' Dorm. She was previously employed at Bear Creek Corporation (Harry and David, Jackson & Perkins) in Medford, Oregon, as a Line Supervisor. Marge and her husband, Mike, have been married for 35 years and have two sons, one daughter, and five grandchildren. When not spending time with the girls at PATCH, Marge enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, gardening and time with her grandkids.  She has found one of the most rewarding experiences with the girls at the Ranch is to simply spend time listening to them.  The girls feel that being listened to makes them feel deeply cared for, something Marge is known for at Project PATCH.

Education Director – Kevin Kelley

After 20 years of working in the software engineering world, Kevin decided to exchange life in the "cube farm" for life in the classroom.  Kevin brings real-life perspective to teaching math while continuing to occasionally write software applications when nobody is watching.  He believes the teens of today will face increasingly challenging societal and employment changes as young adults and that students must be prepared to meet those challenges through an excellent education that includes rigorous studies in math.  Kevin is married to Nan...a nerd who owns her own tech consulting business...and they have two grown children.  Kevin received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University.
